Christmas songs

I love listening to Christmas music. A few of the stations here have already switched to holiday music so I've been turning up the carols on my way home from work. It usually helps me unwind. But I have to say, there are some versions of songs that make me crazy! I will always prefer the versions I grew up listening too - the ones my mom played every year on vinyl! Stuff like Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams. Another thing that makes me nuts is the Joni Mitchell song River and all the versions of it. It's too sad for Christmas! So here's my list of favorite Christmas songs - a few from my favorite bands, but mostly old standards. Hope you'll share yours too!

1. White Christmas - Bing Crosby
2. Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
3. Sleigh Ride - Johnny Mathis
3. Santa Claus is Coming to Town - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
4. It Feels like Christmas - The Muppets Christmas Carol
5. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - u2
6. Holly Jolly Christma - Burl Ives
7. The Chipmunk Song - The Chipmunks
8. Jingle Bell Rock
9. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - By anyone - it kills me when I have to work on Christmas and I hear this song.
10. O Holy Night - This is one song that I like almost any version I hear. It makes me a little teary no matter who sings it!
